We had a wonderful day at our daughters house for Thanksgiving! She served turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberry sauce, dressing, rolls, pickled eggs and red beets, pumpkin pie, cherry pie, iced tea. We had plenty to eat!
My granddaughters are staying with us until Sunday. Then they will go home and their little brother who is 3 is coming to stay while their little sister (who is 4 1/2 mo. goes in for kidney surgery Monday morning). He will stay until baby sister comes home from the hospital. Its going to be a very busy week!
Say a prayer for our little Josie! I hope this finds you all well and happy! Have a Great Evening!

Why not make Christmas really special this year! We did this with our family several times and everybody loved it.
Make a rule that this year nobody can buy a gift to give to another person. Let each person come up with there own idea of something that they can make.
One year we had homemade apple butter, noodles, bread, peanut brittle, marshmallows, hard tack, fudge, taffy. Homemade, flannel pajamas, fleece blankets, wooden shelves, wooden toy wagons, wooden barn shaped toy boxes, wooden paper towel holders, wooden cutting boards. Homemade pot holders, cross stitched bread basket liners and etc.
It can be as small as a homemade book mark , it just doesn't matter, a homemade gift will be treasured forever! They are made with love and mean so much more than anything that you can ever purchase in a store!

Relaxing Cold Sunday Afternoon
Today we spent the day taking it easy. Resting up after a week of our son and grandson being here. It has been very cold outside. Really feels like Christmas is just around the corner!!!!
We have been burning our wood stove and our house is nice and cozy! Our son Jared cuts wood for us and it's a great way to heat our home!
I have been setting on the couch with my laptop, catching up my blogs.
My husband is enjoying T.V. He usually likes to watch the car races. He is so busy during the week, Sunday is his only down time.
Our son is busy with his X-box 360, so as you can see we are all chilling!
For Thanksgiving we will be going to Jennifer's (our oldest daughter) house. She loves to cook and I'm sure we will have a wonderful time!
Ron just made Sunday Night Sugar
Popcorn (the recipe is in my recipe blog), it just completes a perfect Sunday evening!
Monday will be here before we know it! The weekends just fly by!
I hope you all had a great weekend! Take care and have a great week!

This view is out my back window! The leaves are falling but there is still some color. It has been a beautiful fall here in the North Georgia Mountains!!!!
My Son is back from Indiana with his four year old to spend another week with us. He came to help my hubby with some work. I will spend the next week with my grandson, Windsor, having quality time doing things grandmothers and grandsons do together!!!!
I hope this finds you all happy and healthy!

Have you ever had one????? I hate nights like these!
I started out falling asleep on the couch watching TV. So I went to bed and went right to sleep, no problem! Until I heard our dog, Hoover throwing up, so that put me into a tail spin getting it all cleaned up, and now I'm wide awake!!!!.
Oh well, thank goodness for blogging! I can do this until I get sleepy again, or maybe I will go play on pogo.com.
It is windy out and it is getting ready to rain. The leaves are almost completely off of the trees. Winter is just around the corner.
Our daughter is having our whole family for Thanksgiving. It will be fun and not to mention lot's of good food also!!
Tomorrow is going to be a cleaning day for me. I need to make a goodwill trip with a bunch of stuff that I have been bagging up over the last couple of weeks.
I hope you have a good day!

It has been a great accomplishment to get the outside of our house painted! Now I have to face the facts that all the windows are horribly dirty since they pressure cleaned before painting!
Soooo, for the next week I will be attacking the screens and windows! Any helpers out there??????
I'm sure I will be able to muddle through by myself! But, how I dread this job!
Today, I first have to make a town run and then I will come back and start tackling this much dreaded chore!!!
I also wanted to post a picture of one of my grandson's pictures on the front porch swing.
I hope this finds everyone well and happy today!! Keep smiling!!!!

My kid's and grand kid's have all gone home. I have spent the last few days resting. I was worn out from all the cooking and etc!
We are getting the inside and outside of our house painted. They started on the outside last week, and what a difference a fresh coat of paint makes!!!!
I need to work on some of my flower beds before winter sets in. I also need to put straw down on my strawberry plants. It seems that we never get caught up with our chores!!!
Well, I just wanted to blog a bit and catch you up on the last week and hopefully I won't get behind in the future!!!!!
Have a good evening!
